AALL Special Interest Groups

Welcome to the AALL Special Interest Groups

The Association for Academic Language and Learning (AALL) supports a vibrant community of practitioners who share expertise, resources, and ideas. Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) bring together members with common professional interests to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and explore emerging issues in academic language and learning.

Whether you are seeking fresh perspectives, practical strategies, or opportunities to connect with colleagues across Australia and beyond, SIGs provide a space for meaningful discussion and professional growth. Each group has its own focus area, led by members who are passionate about fostering collaboration and advancing practice.

We invite you to explore the SIGs below, learn more about their activities, and get involved.

If you have an idea for a new SIG and would like to bring members together around it, simply get in touch with us at admin@aall.org.au — we’d love to hear from you.
