The 2009 Academic Language and Learning Conference - 'Learning together: crossing boundaries through collaborative practices within and beyond the tertiary context' will be held at the University of Queensland, 26-27 November.

Submission of abstracts and proposa

  • Submit abstracts and proposals as text in the body of an email sent to: Janey Saunders: j.saunders2@uq.edu.au

Submission of full papers

  • Submit full papers electronically for refereeing to the Journal of Academic Language and Learning (JALL): http://journal.aall.org.au/index.php/jall.
  • Prepare your manuscript using JALL's template: http://www.aall.org.au/journal. If for some reason you can't use this template, please contact David Rowland: d.rowland@uq.edu.au
  • Papers which are successfully reviewed prior to the conference will be published in JALL immediately following the conference. JALL's review criteria can be found here: http://journal.aall.org.au/index.php/jall/about/editorialPolicies#peerReviewProcess)
  • If referees and JALL editors deem that a paper does not meet the requirements for publication at the time of the conference, these papers can either be published as unrefereed papers on the conference website, or revised and resubmitted to JALL or another journal for later publication.
  • If you can't make the submission deadlines, you can either have your paper published as an unrefereed paper on the conference website after the conference, or submit it to JALL for possible publication in a later issue.
