Academic Skills and Learning Adviser, ANU

 
The Academic Skills and Learning Centre (ASLC) is seeking a dynamic and committed person to provide campus-wide academic skills and learning assistance to ANU students across disciplines, and levels of study. Such provision comprises individual consultations, small group teaching, direct discipline-specific teaching, and materials development.

We are seeking a suitably qualified person with professional expertise in academic skills and learning pedagogy, and in working with tertiary students across a wide age range, and diversity of education and experience. As an ASLC Adviser, you will contribute to teaching, planning and project work and may also be required to provide presentations and advice to ANU staff on academic skills and learning matters.

You will be working with a small team of professional staff with big ideas about how best to deliver quality academic skills and learning assistance to students, whether that be through podcasting, online interactive materials, or direct teaching.

We have a strong student focus, and a commitment to teaching.

$74,294 - $79,639 pa plus 17% superannuation

This is a full-time continuing position, commencing in October 2009.
