ACT/local region Academic Skills and Learning Development Meetings occur every second Wednesday of the month at 4.00pm. These meetings bring together ALL professionals from the ACT/regional NSW area, including from The Australian National University, The University of Canberra, The Australian Defence Force Academy at the University of New South Wales, The Australian Catholic University, and Charles Sturt University, as well as the Canberra Institute of Technology. ACT/NSW ALL Meetings occur twice a year beginning with the ACT Professional Development Day in June. Attendees donÕt have to be a member of AALL. These are important opportunities to network, see another way of ALL life on another campus, learn more, and very importantly, try out your professional practice and research ideas. There are four universities in the ACT, each with its own academic and language and learning staff. All have a central unit/centre, some with AALL colleagues working in discipline specific areas.
