Connect Inspire Share #3 is coming up on Wednesday 29 May

1-1 Academic Skills advising panel

For our third session in the 2024 season of ‘Connect. Inspire. Share.’ Dr Huifang Li is facilitating a panel on the delivery and pedagogy of 1-1 Academic Skills advising. Another not-to-be-missed session!

Within the academic advising context, one-on-one consultations are a common practice for academic literacy development. In this session, we will hear insights from four universities on the what, how and why of this practice within their institutions, including any challenges they may want to address or share with us.

  • Leah Rosales, Team Leader, Learning Advisers, Edith Cowan University
  • Lyle Cleeland, Senior Learning Advisor and Equity Contact Officer, Centre for Education and Enhancement, James Cook University
  • Dr Sophie Able, Team Leader, The Writing Centre, Macquarie University
  • Dr Rebekah Clarkson, Learning Adviser, Student Engagement Unit, University of South Australia

This session will be held online on Wednesday 29 May 2024 from 1.00 – 2.00pm AEST (find the time in my location).
